I have an Iomega 100 Zip drive for PC (parallel port). Does any one know whether I can concert it to USB for my Imac.
Any input appreciated.

There is no way that I know of to directly connect it. However, you CAN use the iDock, which has SCSI, parallell, etc.

Does the iDock support storage devices through it's parallel port? Most Mac USB to Parallel adaptors are for printers only since there are no storage drivers for them.

Even on PC's, special drivers are needed to support non-printer devices on the parallel port.

You can't use parallel devices other than printers with USB to parallel adapters (including the iDock, which is just a bunch o adapters cobbled together with a hub).

Sorry.

I doubt it would work, but Apple did make a set of generic USB data drivers. Buy a USB/Parallel adapter from outpost.com and try it out. If it doesn't work, send it back. They have excellent service and an excellent returns policy.
