I have a Motorola Dual Tuner High Def DVR(model: DCT6412). On the front there is a usb port. Is there a way to take shows and movies off and putting them on my macbook? Also, if i record a program in HD and then get it to my computer will i still be able to watch it in HD? Thanks for your help.

The USB port is inactive! There is a firewire port on the back that provides some output in MPEG 2 format for unencrypted shows that can be transferred to any Mac. The AVS forums and other sites have explanations and Apple has an SDK that helps the software. sam
