What is the difference between the Trinitron Tubes and Diamondtron? Which one is better? Also, out of the following 19 inch monitors (links posted below), which one is the best?

The trinitron and diamondtron are almost identical. They are the same type of tube, but trinitron is manufactured by sony and diamondtron is manufactured by mitsubishi.

As for the best monitor, any of them should be fine, but I haven't actually tested each of them.

Sony's patent on aperture grille (the generic term for Trinitron) has expired. Any company can make an aperture grille display. However, only Sony can call an aperture grille display a Trinitron, as Trinitron is a trademark of Sony.

Mitsubishi licensed Trinitron to make Diamontron, so the technology is the same. Note that both use a small wire to hold the mask to the glass on larger models that can be seen as a thin line about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom.

Monitor choice is so individual that you should go to a local store and at least see it before buying over the net.
