I notice there are 2 verrry fine horizontal lines on the apple 17 crt screen. Blue in color. I heard Sony also has these lines but vertical. Are they normal?

If that's an aperture grille type crt it's normal. Those are internal wires that support the grille. See if your crt manual doesn't say something about it. This is usually a concern for a lot of people the first sime they see these faint lines. After a while, they learn to ignore them. This is the first time I've seen them discribed as "blue" but that probably depends on how you have your crt colors set.

The lines do support the aperture grille. They only appear on Trinitron (and similar) type picture tubes, and are completely normal. The grille is a mesh of very tiny wires that divide the pixels. The lines are simply thicker wires that help hold the thing up.
