I am thinking of purchasing a Fantom Drives 30gb firewire drive. I was wondering is any one has had any experience with these drives. BTW : It will be used for DV editing.
The specs for the drive can be found here :
http://www.fantomdrives.com/main_sit...whddindex.html

Also, if you have any general firewire drive reccomendations, I'd love to hear them.
All advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
Andrew

I was just wondering if you had thought about saving yourself about $325 buy just putting a Maxtor 40gig inside your mac?

Another option would be to buy a Pyro 1394 Drive Enclosure and put a 40g maxtor in it.

The enclosure is about $160 and the 40gig drive is about $250.

That's only $410 for an external 40gig firewire drive.

Just my $.02
