Hey everyone,
I got an iSub for my brother on ebay

the auction site is here: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1296861654

it clearly says "new in origional box"

and this is how it comes:

no power adapter, or manuals or anything.

I e-mailed saying it wasnt new, and it was unacceptable, etc.

she writes back:

"> That is how we received it from Apple.
> That is the original box. It does not use a power
> cable, the usb cable receives power.
> go to http://www.lowendmac.com/tf/010531.html
> for Harman/Kardon Compatibility Guide."

Do the new isubs not need a power adapter?
I have a powermac G4 and the light doesn't come on, but I also don't have the pro speakers (I have a set of soundsticks)

does anyone have a picture of how thiers came from apple?
im thinking i should call apple and see if they ship it like that with no manuals

trying to figue out what to do.. if anyone has any info let me know

also, i just compared it to the sub on my soundsticks and the cable is yellowing (looks like it was used for a while)

thanks

The iSub requires a power supply, the USB bus is not sufficent to power the amp in the iSub. http://www.harmanmultimedia.com/devo...isub_spec.html
