I can't get them to work on my friend's G4 Cube.

In the past, it worked fine. My friend is not sure when it started to be very "muted."

He uses OS X 10.1.1 and Classic 9.2.1, and I've checked both OS to make sure that the extensions and settings are what they should be.

Is there anything else my friend should try?

Thanks!!!

I have the Soundsticks and use it with a Powerbook G4. I, too, occasionally lose sound (not so much anymore with Mac OS 10.1.1). I think it has to do with a program tying up the Soundsticks, therefore no other audio can be heard. The usual solution for me was to reboot.

Rebooting doesn't help.

I've also tried reconnecting the USB ports, etc.

The volume is VERY low, very muted, when I jack it all the way up.
