Hi there

I currently have the Mac Pro 2.66 and i have just bought the Logitech MX Revolution mouse just this Wednesday
since then i have had 4 Kernel Panics and 1 freezing of the screen saver all causing me to take the power off.

i have tried the PRAM but since then the insident with the screen saver occured

In addition to this many of my vital application do not want to open such as Limewire, Word etc...

Could this be due to the new mouse?
and how could i fix this problem?\

Thank you

Michael

Well, if it's the mouse, have you tried disconnecting the mouse?

Did you install any software for the mouse? You may want to uninstall that.

Yes, uninstall any logitech drivers/software you may have installed. The logitech drivers are notorious for causing kernel panics.

Yes, i have unplugged the mx rev and replaced it with another. since then my MP has been running very slow but i havent had any Kernel Panics

Without SteerMouse how is one suppose to use the various function on the mouse without this app?

What is the correct way to uninstall both SteerMouse and the Logitech Control Center in System Preferences?

App Zapper?

if this doesnt work should i just take it into a Apple Store?

Thank you

Just run the LCC Uninstaller (should be on the disk you installed from). If that doesn't help, then try uninstalling Steermouse (from it's help menu, there's an option).
