I want to record my guitar, bass, and voice using GarageBand. I suppose I could buy something like this device, but since I already own a Griffin iMic and the requisite cables, maybe I ought to get something that is purely a preamp without the USB component, such as this item. One of the reasons I need a preamp is that my guitars all have passive pickups and lack the proper impedence, so they sound terrible when plugged directly into the iMic. Any suggestions?
