Headphone jack-to-USB port hack for iPod?

I know there are speakers with a single headphone plug which would work well with iPod, but what if I want to play the iPod on a pair of Soundsticks speakers, which work only via a USB port?

Is there such a hardware hack out there?

Just wondering.

Even if there were, it probably wouldn't work. USB devices require a driver in order to work.
