I have an imac Rev A, 64 Mb , os 8.6. I have recently burnt a bunch of mp3's onto a Maxell CD-RW74 disc. it seemed to work fine,But, the other day I put the cd in the imac's cd rom and it asked me to format it or eject. I chose eject then put the CD in the burner I burnt the cd with( USB Que Drive) and the icon showed up on the desktop and all the files were there when I opened it. But it still does not work with the imac cd-rom. Does anyone know why this may happen?

I'm not sure whether the Rev. A iMacs had multi-read CD drives...anyone know? I thought they did but...
I have had probs like that with some CD's, but only ones with which something went wrong during the burn. With those ones, it asks me to either format or eject. I click eject, it asks me again, and then mounts fine.

Try a different brand of Blank CD, preferably one you can't see through like glass when held up to a light bulb.
