Help for some reasom my yamaha 2200e (16/10/40) cant read any media. my system is pismo,ram 768,hd 48gb,wacom tablet.

Try using Toast 4 to mount the CD in the drive; if the Toast CD Reader extension isn't active it won't mount discs by itself.

Disable the Disc Burner and iTunes "Authoring Support" extensions; they may be conflicting with the Toast CD Reader.

thanx cipher,i tried to burn a cd and i stuck a new cdr in and nothing it sounds like its trying to read the cd but fails.oh sorry its a yamaha cdr 2100e itunes sees it but burner cant read media. had the burner for not that long also i dont burn to many things,dude it was working like last month.

Hrm... thats messed up.
Sounds like a hardware problem...

I've only ever seen one problem with a Yamaha where it needed replacement... and that was my fault (I blew it up... oops).

They're great about replacing it; talk to Yamaha, they'll send you a new one, no worries. Yours is just a lemon... very bad luck, realy.

Keep us updated if you send it back to Yamaha. I bought one of those just a couple of weeks ago and I love it, and I actually just posted a message recommending it

thanx for responding ,i sent them an email if no response ill call.

i agree tinrib before this mishap it was the best reader ive ever owned,the color of the shell reminds me of the 7100ppc i owned.
ill keep all posted..
