Does anyone know if it is going to be available soon? The PR says it will "ship to customers by the end of November". Does this mean us, or the manufacturers who use the drive in their products, or both?

If the reliability is anything like the 75GXP series I wouldn't be in so much of a rush to get one

my 75 GXP's are rock solid. i thought it was some 60 GXP's that had problems.

is there really a 120 GXP, or 120 GB 60 GXP's?

the reputed problems are with the 75gxp. the 60gxp is newer and is supposed to be trouble free.
If this post is in the Lounge forum, it is likely to be my own opinion, and not representative of the position of MacNN.com.

I've had an IBM 60GXP (60 GB) in my Cube for about 4 months with no problems whatsoever.

VERY fast drive -- 40 MB/sec sustained -- and its idle speed is whisper quiet in the Cube.

(I also have my Cube on a rubber mat -- the combination is virtually silent, great for mental concentration.)

If the 120GXP series matches the 60GXP then they will be very impressive drives.
