I try and use toast deluxe and a ZipCD USB to convert mp3's to audio files....toast either freezes or the disk gets burnt but is empty.

I was told to convert the mp3's to wave files first rather than use toast to convert and just use the toast which comes with the burner?

Any suggesstions how to do this(toast settings) or app's to use(to convert and what format is best) so I don't make any more coasters?

instead of wavs, you should convert your mp3s to aiffs. you can do that with a handy little program called MPecker Drop Decoder. not sure where to get it from... then you can just drop the aiff files into toast. you dont need to change any settings, it automatically changes to audio cd once you drop the sound files on it.

Soundjam does the same and works much faster at converting MP3 to AIFF. Averages at about 11 speed!!! on my iMac. I never liked MPecker and Sounapp maybe versitile but not as fast as Soundjam www.soundjam.com or www.download.com In the mac section of course.

Thanks everyone!

I have had no problems since converting to AIFF's as suggested!

I had SoundApp 2.6.1 and used that. I left it running in the backgroud and it was stable...but I'll try out the faster applic's as well!
