On the website it states that it will not work on the Macintosh. I really only want to be able to print to it from my Mac, so I am not concerned if I cannot scan or fax... Anyone know if this will work with either USB, or the external print server that they sell...

thanks!

HP is divided into various departments, i.e. inkjet printers, all in ones, scanners, laserjet printers. Each has it's own budgets and sometimes, it seems, they don't communicate well. So, while the inkjet division has a very conscious effort to support the Mac, the Scanjet division states it has no budget for Mac support (that has changed a little). I suspect all that is needed is to modify the print driver from the print division to recognize the G85. In fact, I tried the 970 print driver with the P1000 Photoprinter which is a 970 with a built in memory card reader and it didn't work. When I called the Photosmart division they gave me the budget excuse for not having Mac drivers.

We need to bombard HP with messages that we want them to support Macs at all levels!
