Great choice of LCD!
First off, KDS is just a stencil brand, the actual monitor is made my Radius--which is an excellent brand.
The Rad-5 is a great LCD for the price... I'm getting two of them very soon to replace my current dual monitor setup, and also lobbying at work to get two of them there for the dual setup I use.
Anyway, having used a friend's the only things I can say bad about these are A. white does not show up as true white unless you really tweak with the contrast.. it's not bad though, just a bit off-white, and B. at times really small text can become dificult to read than it is with a CRT monitor. Also, virtually every flat panel I've ever seen has at least one dead pixel somewhere on it, and the RAD-5 is no exception. One is not a big deal at all. Accept no more than 3 though.
As for good things, it's one of the few monitors other than Apple's that uses the single cord design (IE both the power cable and video cable is inside the same cord) the display is nice and sharp, and the price is excellent!
