Sorry you're having this problem. I think the mighty mouse is one of the best things about new MACs.

Hold the mouse upside down and work the scroll ball for a bit. I have to do this every month or so for the same problem.

Actually, I think you have to scroll up to the peripherals forum. You should have no problem doing that.

And incase this does get moved: You could try rubbing alcohol on the ball and spin it while it's still damp. Apple also has some suggestions on their website. And a movie too!

Mine was doing that intermittently as well. I found the best solution was a trip to the Apple store to have it replaced under warranty. The genius mentioned that there were some 'home brew' solutions to the problem, like rubbing it with a piece of crumpled paper so some nonsense. I just stared at him until he went in the back room and home brewed me up a new one.

And it's off to peripherals we go!

Both my mighty mouse and my brothers have had this problem. It comes and goes. You just need to shake the mouse around, and smack it a bit. It fixes it.

It's unacceptable. There's nothing funny about domestic violence.
