Today my kensington Mouse in a box optical pro just died. The laser thing went out. I am pretty angry. Now I am considering the logitech wireless optical mouse. Any thoughts or reviews from owners of this logitech?

Have you been happy with the Kensington until now? Why not try and get them to replace it..they are normally very good about replacing prematurely dead mice. Don't spend any more $$ if you don't have to.....

I have the Logitech Optical(not wireless) and it works fine. There's no software for OS X, but scroll wheel support is there for all Cocoa apps and an increasing number of Carbon ones.

Kensignton has a very good warranty. I've had an orbit trackball break once and they replaced it right away. Before spending money on a new mouse, give 'em a call...

I just bought a Logitech wireless optical. I installed USB Overdrive instead of the Logitech software.
What can i say, this mouse is brilliant, zero problems, works perfectly.

The right mouse button could be a little wider but thats my only complaint.

My Logitech Cordless Wheel has just begun getting funky on me. Maybe due to new software and a USB hub.
Not sure why the wheel has no effect anymore.
What is this USB Overdrive you use?
I see how Logitech has an updated driver (like a 4 pt something as opposed to the 3.5 I have.) But with that upgrade they recommend a slighter higher OS and more installing and analysing is not what I really have in mind.
thanks.

I have contacted Kensington and I am waiting for a reply. The one problem I have now is that I dont have the receipt so I dont know what they are going to do.

junobear1, USB overdrive is a very good program that substitutes for USB drivers of input devices such as mice. Check out http://www.usboverdrive.com
