I am looking into a digital camera and I was wondering what are some good sites to look at? I am looking for a digital camera but I want one that will work with my mac, and that has some good reviews.
Any good recommendations?
Thanks,
Circa

Just about any camera from any major brand will work with you Mac if you have USB. Check out www.dcresource.com , its an excellent source for specs and reviews. They also have links to other good digital camera sites.

CNEThas god reviews on a variety of different Hardware. They have a team of reviewers that review hardware, but what I find most informative are the reader ratings.... They also link to pricing....
good luck!
dave
I personally love my Canon digital cameras! As David Flas stated above, The Digital Camera Resource Page is an incredible site....

This site, was the one I visited a long time ago when I was looking to purchase my first dig camera. I still check it frequently. Has reviews on just about anything digital.

DON'T buy an ixla photo easy! I wanted a cheap and easy camera for my mom, and this looked like the answer, but buggy software and hardware (the stuff crashes every time!) proved to be a $140 mistake...
What software do you recommend to download the photos from the camera to your computer?

Hey G4ME,
Check out this page Apple Hardware Compatibility ... it should answer your questions... basically, some work natively with X, some need classic for operability, and some (not sure about this) might not work....
good luck!

My Canon cameras work in X through Classic... basically they use classic for the USB plugin... The software works unser classic and is very useable.
best of luck,
dave

my camera does not have a usb port, so I am hoping to be able to use a SanDisk smartmedia card reader with OSX, but I am still not sure how it is going to work.

Also good is www.imaging-resource.com
I would recommend something in the Nikon Coolpix lineup. But that's cause I love mine so much.

No question about it - Steve's Digicam's is the best place for online review of digital cameras: www.steves-digicams.com.
Unless you can find a camera with a firewire connection, you really don't want to connect your camera to your PC. Just find a media device/reader for your PC and use that. I put my CompactFlash cards in a PCMCIA adapter and stick it in a PC card slot on my TiPB. Works great.
