I've got a old server here that uses SRAM (S = Static) and I currently have 128 MB of RAM (2x64) and want to upgrade it to like 256. I checked crucial and they don't seem to have it. Anywhere where I can find it used or new (I prefer not to use eBay)?

What are the exact memory specs you need?

P.S. I doubt it's static RAM.

Hmm, well how old are we talking about?

It could be using SIMM modules which have 72 pins and have to be installed in matched pairs otherwise it's probably using DIMM modules and ECC (Error Correcting) SDRAM (168 pin, the ECC part is important), that is assuming it's a brand named server like Compaq and not an old box you've cobled together yourself; in which case it would use standard 168 pin SDRAM DIMM modules.

The thing can't see a HD over 16 GB, its that old. It originally had Win 2000 Server. I upgraded the RAM already with another RAM stick I had.

Pic of one of the RAM sticks (sorry for gigantic img):

That's not static RAM. It's PC100 DRAM. Static RAM hasn't been used since the early '80s. But that's beside the point.

The easiest way to find RAM is to use one of the web's RAM selectors. Here's a list of PC100 RAM:

dealram: 256MB PC100 SDRAM
