Anyone heard of any large capacity (in the same region as HD) solid state storage devices. I reckon it's about time we ditched this 1980s Magnetic media nonsense in favour of something a little smaller, faster, and reliable (no maving parts - wahey!)
A glorified Smart media array is what I'm looking for.

It's not asking much, is it?
Hark, I hear a robin sig'ing in the trees!
Nae, there is no sog to be sug,
or am I wrog? Why can't I sig?

With the prices of RAM falling these days, I'm sure somebody will soon try to wire up a stack of DIMMs to a battery backup system. Attach a Firewire interface and voila! -- solid state device!
