Does anyone know if Sony's GPS accessory for cameras can be made to
work for Macs. I wanted to get it. But the book said it's only for
PC's Apparently the device includes software that takes the info
collected in the GPS and merges it into meta-data for each picture.
With the software the GPS unit is useless.

Does anyone know if there is a hack get the met-data from the unit
into the pictures? Or is there some over software that I can
purchase?

I can't believe something as useful as a GPS tag for pictures would
only be made to work on PC's. At least half of the professional
photographers out there that could use this, are using Macs.

On a side note Sony's website list two different versions of the unit
CS1 & CS1K. The specs for both are exactly the same. I called Sony
Tech Support. Even the Tech Support people didn't know what the
difference is between the two. Only either of were able to surmise was
that the CS1 was the original on that came out.

There's a post over in Apple's Aperture form from someone who uses it. It's not very friendly so be forewarned. Try searching for the model number on the forums and I'm sure it'll come up.
