I use a firewire HD with my wallstreet G3 by way of a FirewireToGo pcmcia card: works great.

I want to connect the firewire drive to a first generation ibook that is USB only (no FW).

Is there a way to do this?

Well, yeah, there are converters, but it'll be slow, and they're pretty bad... like data loss wise they CAN be... hm.

I don't have any links though... sorry... but they do exist...

Well that wasn't much help was it.
