The internal modem on my 400mhz "sawtooth" G4 minitower got fried recently. I'm hoping someone can give me advice on what to get so that I can continue using my dial-up internet service. The mac needs to use system 9x for now, but may be upgraded to OSX sometime. Does anyone have any experience with either of the following:

1. USB modems with both OS 9 and OS X.
2. Replacing the broken internal modem with a new one.

Any other help would be appreciated too.

Thanks in advance,

-VR

Well, the internal modem is removable so you can probably ask around the Powermac forum to see if anyone who isn't using their modem (and with broadband there are a lot of them) are willing to part/sell them.
