What are the best palms to get for Macs? I've never thought of getting one, but now am thinking of it to use as rolodex and possible planner to integrate with Entourage.
What recommendations? ie, maker and model #
Also, are there larger versions, where the screen size is not so small? thanks Ken

You might want to post this in the PDA forum to get more responses. I'm also new to PDAs - just bought a Sony Clie T415. This is the thinnest high resolution handheld made (0.39" thick). Sony doesn't officially support Mac, but the latest Palm Desktop works great with the Clie under OSX and OS9.
Recommedations? What works best for me might not work for you. I wanted high res (320*320 vs standard 160*160) and so that means Sony - at least for the time being. I didn't want to spend much but I wanted the thinnest profile so I went with the monochrome T415 as oppose to the T615 color. Sony also has a couple of other unique features like Remote Commander (universal remote control) which is higher power IR than the other Palms. The jog wheel is just too cool - I wish all Palm manufacturers would use this. You can use it for a quick lookup in your address book with one hand and no need to pull out the stylus.. If you've got money to burn and don't mind something a little bigger, the Sony NR70 series adds a built in color camera, mp3 player, slightly higher 320*480 res, and thumb key board. You can upgrade the other Clie's with the memory stick camera and mp3 player if you wanted to start off small and upgrade later.
I also like the Palm m500 (mono) and m515 (color) handhelds too. The high res and extra features of the Clie won me over in the end. If you want a combo cell phone / PDA the Visor Treo looks nice. I'd stay away from the Visor PDA line as it is being dropped in favor of the Treo. Here are some links to manufacturers sites and reviews. Palm boulevard has some excellent message boards covering all models:

Good luck whichever you decide......joe

I am deleriously happy with my Handspring Visor, not least because it came supplied with a USB Cradle
Get the smallest/cheapest you can find and look for one with a battery charger. I go through a set of AAAs every 2 weeks

if you want to use your palm with entourage for osx you will have to wait until microsoft comes out with a conduit. there is a third party conduit (i forget the name) but it was NEVER able to work well for me. I guess I just have way tooooo many things on my palm and on my desktop for it to be sucessful. Kevin Brown (I think that is how you spell his last name) has stated that the entourage conduit should be up to speed at the end of may/beginning of June.
