I was wondering if someone could help me. I have a HP Color LaserJet 4550 printer and the HP Jetdirect J4135A. It is connected to my iMac via the usb port. I've installed all of the software that came with the printer and when I try to find the printer in the chooser it doesn't show up. Does anyone know what the problem may be?

You have to use the Desktop Printer Utility to setup a postscript USB printer. It should be in your Utility folder in your Applications (Mac OS 9) folder if you have 9.1 or later. Or it'll be in your Apple Extra's/Laserwriter folder with 9.0.x or earlier.
