I want to use my SideWinder precision pro usb with OSX but am afraid there is no joystick support in OSX.
Can be done in some way? Any ideas?

here's a list of tested device from that site:

Supported Devices
All devices recognized by the Mac OS X HID mechanism should work with GamePad Companion. Mice and Keybaords are not supported by GamePad Companion. They are treated special by Mac OS X, and GamePad Companion will not recognize them. Please download and try the demo to see if your device works properly.
