I must admit that the world of DV camcorders is new to me. This summer my family is going to Europe and my Dad wants a new camcorder since his is 8mm is 12 years old and I broke it last year. So DV seems like the way to go. After shopping around we really like the ZR25mc. Has anyone used this camera with iMovie? Does it work well? I've been seeing it for $800 at stores here in New York. On the internet I've been seeing it in the $600s and $700s but none of these sites mention warrantee. My Dad is very concerned about buying a camera with a grey market warrantee.
My Dad has never used a computer before but I'm taking my Pismo on this trip so I can show him how cool iMovie is by editing the video on the plane ride home. After that I plan to get him a new iBook. I think that would be perfect for him.
