I am not trying to be critical....just curious.

What makes the Apple iSight camera so good that it sells for $50-$100 more than the original MSRP?

And is it any better than newer, less espensive cams on the market now?

IMO the premium is due to its novelty. One can find similar or better technologies new on the market now for approximate prices.

I think it was released in an era where USB 2.0 wasn't prevalent so the firewire connection was nice (and still is due to a lack of USB ports on my MacPro).
