So i have this 1.5 gb maxtor onetouch III that i have had warranty already replace once.. and my warrenty is almost over and I know with my luck this one is going to die right after my warranty ends.. Please see this from my view I dont have that much money to buy a new one after my warranty expires

Is there any way to intentionally make a disk fail without opening it. Like if i work it constant for like a week will it fail for sure.. does anyone know.. I just want to be able to get a new one from maxtor. I should have learned my lesson when the other one died.. but data security is important to me.. which is why i got this raid 1 drive.. i just want to be able to have maxtor send me a replacement.
