This HP 6110 All-in-one is spending more time gyrating and spitting out blank sheets of paper than it is printing them. It seems to be a sporadic problem and I used to think it was related to trying to print out pages from a website ala Safari or Firefox.

But it's now doing it with PDFs and basic MS Word documents. A lot of racket and then first comes some blank pages, followed by a partially printed page, more blank pages, then it will print a full page but not without stopping during mid print. This is driving me nuts as I can't get critcal work completed.

I've owned the machine for about three years. I downloaded another driver from HP recently but not certain it's actually there--HP 7.1.4 is what it says when I check. But nothing has changed.

I have also disconnected the printer for several minutes and restarted it.

So could this be related to my OS 10. 3.9? Is there something I need to be doing with utilities or something to just get this printer to print out complete pages.

What is so maddening about it as that sometimes it works fine--prints without any problems, then at other times it just won't print out complete pages.

Anyone?
Thanks.
ClaraT
