I recently bought a Dell E228WFP for my G4 400 w/ 1.2 mHz upgraded processor. It has an ATI Radeon 8500 w/ 64 mb vram that runs the Dell and and an 18" Viewsonic CRT in extended desktop mode. The Dell is hooked up to the DVI. The Dell monitor has an annoying tendency to flicker, not by any means unusable, but it is distracting. Is this flicker product of and overtaxed video card or is it the monitor?

If the Dell is hooked up via DVI, it sounds that either your graphics card's DVI port is broken or the display is. Since you don't know which way, you should try the monitor on another computer and another screen on your DVI port. Then you know which one is to blame.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
