Hi, my mother has a 12" Powerbook circa 2004 or so with 256MB ddr sdram memory (!). I'll be visiting her soon and want to put some decent RAM in that computer for her, but I'm not sure what the max I can put in is.

OWC states 640MB is the max memory, but if I remember correctly, that goes back to the days when a 512 card was the most memory you could buy. As well, I think one of the memory slots is hard to get to, so i just want to add memory to the easy-to-access bottom slot.

Can I buy a 1GB RAM card and simply stick it in the PB, no issues? I'm looking at this specific card at OWC - 1GB (1024MB) PC2100 DDR 266MHz 200 Pi... (OWC2100DDRSO1024) at OWC

Thanks,

Uisce
