Hi
I have an iSight camera connected to my computer and my problem is that the picture is lagging very much, even though iChat syas that the framerate is around 15frames/sec. I have tested the camera on another computer and everything worked fine, so there is no problem with the camera.

So now I think the problem is on my computer and it probably is my TV-card(Alchemy TV DVR) that is fu**ing up the iSight-signal. For example: when I opened PhotoBooth I saw the TV channels instead of my iSight view.

So what can I do about this?
Thanks

You might remove your alchemy tv card to confirm/deny a casual relationship.

Well, sounds like this is not an iSight problem per se, but an iChat problem. The latter is a much bigger can of worms.

To quit the Alchemy DVR app comes to mind.

I mean… if I have the AlchemyTV DVR app opened even with the TV window closed, the TV signal is shown as you say on Photo Booth, -this with a MDD G4- as soon as I quit the AlchemyTV DVR app, no TV signal is shown on Photo Booth.

With your configuration, try closing every app except iChat. Then start adding other apps back into the mix.

It might automatically run some software in the background. That could be the problem.
