I just purchased a Cybershot DSC-T50 that I absolutely Love! The quesition I have is even though I have a 2GB card... what setting should I set my picture quality at. Do I really need the 7M which says will print 11X15? Wouldn't 5M or 3M do? Any ideas/thoughts/feelings/ideas? Thanks... this is the first time I've owned a camera with this many MegaPixels.
I suppose you need to think about the use of the photo (e.g. print, web, wallpaper, etc.) I typically leave mine at 7MP and downsize it on my computer to suit the purpose. That way I always have a higher quality original in case my needs change.
Always shoot at the highest resolution. In 10 years, you'll be glad you did. By then, you might be viewing photos on a wall-sized screen or printing them on poster-sized paper. It would be a shame if your favorite memories were low resolution.
