Hello

I would like to record simultaneously 4 separate video channels with a Mac, is it possible?
If yes, could anyone give me some advice or directions on a special dedicated pro card or
pro system (hardware, software)? Video signal characteristics haven't being defined yet and
if possible would like to focus the thread only on professional video acquisition systems for the Mac.

...yes google is our friend, I googled already, hope there is to a big philosophical deal asking
some additional help at the forum

Best Regards

Have a look at the Kona cards. I have no idea if you can use more the one but I would think that would be the issue. I think you can capture from only one firewire device at a time.

Per Apple - Final Cut Studio 2 - Partners - I/O Devices, you should also look at Also look at Matrox, Blackmagic, and Aja.

edit: Looks like Matrox only does output/editing acceleration hardware, not input, so skip them.
