I believe that it is probably a driver problem but here goes -

I have recently 'converted' to Macs, having bought a 12" G4 and the latest 15.4" MBP with the 2.4Ghz CPU and the Santa Rosa mobile platform. When I attempt to print from either of them via CS3, I get exactly what I see in the 'preview' - which is totally different than the image on screen prior to pressing the 'preview' button. This 'preview' image and subsequent print is very vibrant in the reds, particularly on skin tones, compared to the working image.

The same image prints perfectly on my Windows PC - a true WYSIWYG .

The monitor on the MBP has been calibrated with a Spyder2. I'm using he correct Epson ICC profiles or the paper in the machine and using those profiles in the print dialog box. Colour management is 'off' - I follow the Epson user guide to the letter. The OS, 10.4.10, recognises the printer - having downloaded and installed the driver for Intel chipped Macs from the Epson website.

I thought that there may have been a conflict with the generic drivers that come with Tiger, so I did a complete new installation and did not install any of the printer drivers on the OS disc. Exactly the same result as before .

Getting rather frustrated now . Has anyone got any suggestions?
