I just recently heard about this feature of eSata, port multiplication. I've tried to read about it but I've found conflicting info. I've read that the way the cards work, each of the 5 ports can operate at full speed. Then elsewhere I've read that they do slow each other down a bit, so if you have 5 ports running at once, each port will run slower than if it was a dedicated, non-multiplied port. Anyone know what the deal is for sure? I ask because I need to build a large drive tower, and depending on how the tech works, it might make sense to build a pair of 10 drive towers plugged into a single PCI eSata card
