I have a Rev A G5 Dualie, and it's coming up on 5 yrs old ... so far, I've had one hard drive go out on me, replaced it with two HDs, one to serve as a back-up (learned my lesson about backing up files). The problem I have is with video cards, specifically ATI cards ... they only seem to last a year or so, then crap out; I've had much better luck with nVidia as per longevity ... I just had an ATI X 800 XT go out, which I replaced with a spare nVidia GeForce 6800 GT that the ATI replaced, but it is much slower than the ATI. As of right now, what is the best video card available for my old, trusty G5 (older 20" cinema display, AGP ... I have an adapter to connect it to the latest cards)?
