Agreed, you're hardly the demographic target market for the iPhone...
Just remember that if they're not on Apple's isync list, chances are they won't sync, period.
So that leaves pretty slim pickings at t-mobile, like the Nokia 6133 at $50 and the Moto Razr v3t at $100. Considering that you can find an unlocked Razr v3 for $120, where you wouldn't have to sign up for 2 years of service, that's hardly a good deal, though I imagine if you watch the sales, you'll find better deals.
Also, much depends on t-mobile coverage in your area--if that stinks, then dump t-mobile asap. Myself, I'd go to several stores and ask various clerks which of those 2 phones has the best antenna, fewest dropped calls.
Nokia's got the better address books, but maybe Moto has done some improvements lately, no idea about that. Their address book and navigation system used to stink.
