Running a HP 3330 all in one, and X doesn't see the scanner.

I don't have the disc, of cours.e I downloaded drivers from their site, but not it only will print, not scan. PS doesn't see the scanner, neither does image capture. Any help?

Same story with my parents HP ScanJet 52something0; OS X's native scanner support seems to be very poor. The answer is try (and then buy) VueScan.

Darn... I downloaded it, it found the scanner, and then said that it wasn't supported on OS X. Screw.

I recently exchanged emails with HP scanner software support and they do not support old scanners in new Intel based Macs. sam
