Hello everyone. I'm a recent convert to the OS X world, I've enjoyed every minute of it up until this point. I have a Canon MP830 Multifunction Printer. I've installed every software that is available for this printer on Canon's Driver/Software site in hopes that a Scanner Driver would be included within one of the software. Sadly, I've been unsuccessful and disappointed. This printer worked flawlessly on my XP/Vista Machine, unfortunately(only in this case), I no longer have a Windows machine. I'm in desperate need to be able to fax receipts for books purchase for school so that work can reimburse my expenses. I'm hoping someone else has had this problem and was able to resolve it. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

I have the same printer, but I haven't had any scanner driver issues. I just tell it to scan and it sends the scan to my computer...

I was trying to scan using Adobe Pro, and it wouldn't recognize the printer. I tried using MP Navigator and it was telling me that the scanner driver was not installed.
When you said every time you tell it to scan, did you press the scan button on the printer itself or from the program? I didn't try pressing the scan button on the physical printer itself, just from the applications. I'm not at home anymore, but I'll try that tomorrow.
Which drivers/apps from canon did you install? The ones from the CD or from their website? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to duplicate your install as close as possible.

I dug up the Driver disk that came with the printer, and that worked. I just assumed the online drivers and software would be more up to date and would work, I guess not. Thanks.
