Hi all,
I'm ready to dump my HP psc750 AIO printer, and I could use some input.
I'm looking into getting a printer that can handle some larger paper sizes, so that I can start doing some larger flyers and print some basic CD layout proofs. The two that I've noticed seem to fit my needs and budget are the Epson Stylus 1400 and the Canon Pixma Pro9000. They seem to come in between 300-400 bucks.
It seems the Epson prints directly on CDs, which would be useful for some promos. Not sure if the Canon can do that.
Does anyone have experience with these or similar printers? To be honest, the large format is really what I need, as opposed to the amazing quality, six vs. eight inks, etc. I've been fine with the quality of my old HP. I also print quite a bit of black only letters and whatnot. Do these type of photo printers do so economically?
Any experiences or insight would be appreciated. Especially with regard to software/drivers. I don't really care to repeat the HP AIO driver experience.
Thanks,
Kyle
