What is needed to burn multiple DVDs at once? I mean besides more than one DVDR drive. Me and my pals are making a Video DVD, and I'm just researching our replication options. I DO have a Mac Pro, so besides physically getting the drives hooked up, what is needed? How many MB/sec of disk bandwidth is needed to run a DVD burner? (if I could buy a **** load more RAM, I could load the source image into a RAM disk :-) ) What about software? Can toast handle multiple discs? Is there other software I should use? The lease amount of work, the better. I just want to 'load' the source image, and then keep clicking burn and loading in blank discs.

16x DVD (worst case) is about 20MBps. But if you have all your burners synchronized it's not an issue because they're all reading the same data.

Nero (on Windows... which you could do in Parallels/VMware) handles burning multiple disks (multiple recorders and one disk after another) pretty well.

Do any native mac apps do this? I potentially see myself setting up a super cheap pc tower with 5 dvd burners in it, probably all hooked up via firewire 800 to my mac. They would be identical so like you said, HD read speed isn't much of an issue. I'd like to be able to burn 5 discs at once, then verify 5 discs at once, then eject all 5 and reload.
