I've got a 17" LCD Studio Display, and I have a Cube on the way—which is unfortunately being held up by this damned postal strike—and I'm wondering: if I get a D-Link Bluetooth USB dongle, can I plug it into one of the USB ports on the back of the Studio Display, or will the radiowaves monkey with the display?

I know I could put it in the bottom of the Cube, but I'd like to avoid doing that if possible—partly because it may not fit, and partly because my future upgrade path. I ultimately intend to slam a 6200 into the Cube with adequate cooling, and use an DVI-ADC converter so I can continue using the Studio Display (with the intention of eventually getting a 22" or 23" one), and doing it that way will mean one of the ports on the bottom of the machine will be used up by the converter, leaving only one free.

Anyone know if putting the BT USB dongle into the back of the monitor is wise?

Do wifi networks cause problems with your display?

It's the same frequency (and actually at higher power with wifi).

No wont cause any problems. I've had one connected to a 17" studio display, a 30" cinema display, a Dell 20" 2001FP and my current LG 246W. No problems.

Thanks for the answer. I suspected it wouldn't be a problem, but I thought it best to check before I buy a USB adaptor.

From my experience, I have a BT mighty mouse and a BT-capable mobile phone. While transfer files between my Mac and mobile phone, the cursor will jitter a little.
