I have an old graphite imac and an epson color stylus 740.

Everything worked fine even though I know both of these machines are pretty archaic by today's standards.
Recently the printer utility has been stopping every job I have tried to print. I have checked all cable connections, made sure that my computer recognizes that there is in-fact a print connected to it and that it is the correct driver. I have restarted my computer and printer several times.

I have been able to print off "test sheets" when you clean or align the printer heads with no problems but everytime I attempt to print an actual document the printer utility shows a blue bar beside the job in the queue for a few seconds and then just stops the job.

If anyone knows how to solve this that would be great. At this point I've tried everything I can think of sort of an "archive and install."

Try Gimp print driver instead. Actually, the printer electronics could have failed! You would have to test it connected to a different computer. sam
