I'm having issues with my 3.5 year old Lacie d2 Firewire HD. It's suddenly decided to die on me - it won't mount, and comes up with the message:
The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer
Initialize/Ignore/Eject.
I've used Disk Utility to Verify the disc, and this is the message that comes up:
Master Directory Block needs minor repair
The volume Skyland Films needs to be repaired.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair
I've heard that this means bad things for my data. I would SERIOUSLY appreciate help of any kind to retrieve as much as I can off this drive. I've backed up some of it, but I was mostly using this AS my back up drive. This is also my video editing drive.
I hope I'm not in too much strife, seriously.
