Im looking for a repalcement dvd burner for the lower try of my MP. I had a pioneer in there but it seems to died, ejects, is recognized, but won't spin

Ive gotten pioneer from new egg in the past but they don't seem to ahve any.

ideas on a very quiet burner? I have the sony in the upper bay, came w the MP. you can probably hear it spinning while you read this.

so blu-ray for me yet: no monitor for the DVD's

Newegg has plenty of Pioneers: Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

I'd recommend the Pioneer DVR-112D over anything else.

md! I took your advice and now have the 112D quietly installed in my lower optical bay. many thanks.

if you recall, can you direct me to the appropriate thread re firmware and region updating if there is one for this drive. I recall in the past this gave me some difficulty
