I recently bought one off amazon, (3 weeks ago) just starting to notice a few problems, first is with google earth, while scrolling around all of a sudden the globe will just start spinning into oblivion, very annoying, secondly, occasionally just after waking up the clicks will not work, I either unplug and reconnect the receiver dongle or wait and it will sort itself out after a few moments. Also the left scroll button needs a lot more pressure than the right, I hardly use the horizontal scroll so could live with it, but I am interested to hear if anyone has had similar issues before I ask for a replacement.

Cheers,
Dan

I had an HP mouse do something similar. Occasionaly the optical sensor would get confused and the cursor would just go nuts. I am fairly confident that wood grain desk was causing the issue. The same mouse would also sometimes scroll up and down crazily, I think this was because the scrool weel would sometimes stop between clicks.

...The worst mouse I have ever owned. Not even mention that my arm started hurting after about 2 hours of use.

It does sound probable, but this is a laser mouse and is supposed to work on any surface.
It cant be a problem with the usb port as the keyboard and scroll works fine, im just going to have to send it back
