I've got two networked laser printers, a quite old workhorse QMS 330 A3+ machine and a newer KonicaMinolta Magicolour 2350.

I have ppd files for both these machines which I have thrown into both the root and user printer folders. When I try to install them in the system pane though they both show up but I can't select the appropriate driver. The OS assigns them both generic laser printer drivers. I can choose select other, navigate to the ppd but when I select it it doesn't show up.

Have I put them in the wrong place or am I out of luck with Leopard compatibility here?

Thanks in advance

I moved your thread to Consumer Hardware because OS X isn't for peripherals and their drivers.
